Community and environmental charity Groundwork is working with the Cooperative to enhance local community areas using funds raised from the carrier bag levy.

As part of this, Groundwork will be enhancing the area around the retail store in Yaxley, but before they make any changes, they want to know how people use the space now and what they want from it in the future.

Would you like to see more pollinator fields’ planting, more seating, fruiting trees, or something for children to play on?

The Cooperative is also wanting to offer these spaces for people to use into the future, perhaps local groups may want to use the space for food growing, if this would be of interest, let Groundwork know

Rebecca Huggins, Landscape Architect at Groundwork said: “It is very important to the Cooperative that they understand what the community wants from the space, which is why together we are consulting to see what improvements would most like to be see in the space. So, we are actively encouraging people to express their views via the survey All ideas are welcome!”
